The Weehawken was one of a class of ten single-turreted monitors that were built directly after the great success of the Monitor. Those "Passaic Class" monitors were larger than the first Monitor (200 feet long and 45 feet broad) and differed from her in that they were armed with heavier guns and the pilothouse was built above the top of the.This incredibly detailed, historically correct 1/96th scale kit is made of resin and cast white metal/pewter parts and includes stanchions, white metal flagpoles, turret stanchions, sheaves, cleats, warping chocks, two Steingraeber lifeboats and a turret canopy.
